Hadrian's Wall hiking weekend - 2nd/3rd November

A fantastic weekend trip with two great walks involving the iconic Hadrian's Wall! On Saturday 2nd November we meet in Birdoswald at 1pm and we do a beautiful hike for approx. 4hrs (8 miles) that takes in Birdoswald Fort, Thirlwell Castle and Milecastle 48 along Hadrian's Wall - great examples of the ancient Roman ruins. We stay overnight in a Premier Inn hotel close to Carlisle and on Sunday we head towards Hexham and Housesteads Fort for a wonderful hike of approx. 5hrs (9.5 miles) that takes in Steel Rig and the famous Sycamore Gap (sadly no more tree!) Rating 2. A truly wonderful weekend that includes two guided walks and the hotel!
